– Plato
Introducing the Backstage Pass Podcast
This issue is completely different. And a sign of things to come, because we're now committed to doing podcasts. We'll start out with them being part of the AMP. Where they'll end up... Who knows.
New Music Lives is focused on the success of our Singer Songwriters. You are the stars. Not us. We had to overcome that well-reasoned reluctance to finally get into podcasting.
Especially with this first one as it features NML's founder Paul Saunders. And Paul is beyond shy of the spotlight. So, it took a bit of... let's call it 'influencing' for him to allow us to focus on Paul. But...
It's important for you all to know the source of New Music Lives— the teenage pirate radio DJ from the UK who started all this. Who Paul is— head and heart, high tech and higher touch— and how NML has come about. And most importantly for you, where we're taking you.
Give a listen. Long, but not too. One hour plus a few.
In This Issue... You'll Get...
The 1st Backstage Pass Podcast
Our own John Fogg interviews your own Paul Saunders, founder of New Music Lives.
The podcast provides an insider's perspective on the music business and actionable strategies for Singer Songwriters to take control of their careers, earn a great living, and do what they love— create and perform their songs.
Paul has over 40 years of experience across all aspects of the music business and a passion for helping Singer Songwriters. In this podcast, he provides insights into the inner workings— and not-working— of the business AND lays out some strategies that will put success in your career.
Paul speaks about the ways the music industry exploits artists and takes advantage of them through unfair record deals... How the system is rigged against independent Singer Songwriters... Digs down and up into the idea of 1,000 True Fans... The power of house concerts... How to nurture a tribe of fans. Shares some of NML's innovative ideas such as Tip4 digital tipping... And more
